Oomfy gives 10% of the products it makes to children in need in addition to dedicating a minimum of 10% of company profits to orphaned and endangered animals . In May of 2010, Oomfy donated over 3,000 books to the following institutes in South Africa.

The Herberg Children’s Home provides a comprehensive one-stop service to children in need of care in the Western and Southern Cape and to perform this task with the help of skilled, motivated personnel by means of a cost-effective budget.
Bontebok Primary School
Bontebok Primary is located in the suburb of Railton on the outskirts of Swellendam close to the Bontebok National Park. A huge school of close on 1500 learners, Bontebok Primary serves a poor community with the usual challenges of unemployment and socio-economic problems.
The Education Department of the Western Cape
The EDWC oversees a region of South Africa with over one million children in its K-12 school system. The region is economically poor with more than 50% of the children living in poverty. The books are used for literacy improvement projects.
